Binghamton Mets: Roster Move: Luis Mateo-DL, Jacob DeGrom-Promoted

Luis Mateo was just promoted yesterday from Advanced-A St. Lucie Mets.  Mateo was to make a spot start for the injury Cory Mazzoni.  But Mateo will now be joining Mazzoni on the Binghamton Mets disabled list.  Mateo pitched three innings for the Binghamton Mets before being removed with an unknown injury.  The injury is now being characterized as a right elbow strain.

With the Mateo injury the Binghamton Mets are being forced to dip back down to St. Lucie fill the void in their rotation.  This time snatching 24-year-old righty Jacob DeGrom.  DeGrom who is behind for his age on the organization ladder due to Tommy John surgery two years ago, is 1-0, with a 3.00 ERA in two starts for St. Lucie this year.
