Two ex-Mets in Marlins pen
Jon Rauch appeared in 73 games for the Mets last season, throwing 57.2 innings, giving up 23 earned runs on 45 hits and 12 walks. He finished his lone Mets season with a record of 3-7 and ERA of 3.59 and a WHIP of 0.98. He signed a one-year deal with the Marlins in the off season.
John Maine a favorite of mine had early success in his Mets career, going 21-15 with a 3.81 ERA in his first 47 Mets starts from 06-07. Unfortunately 08-10 were injury plagued seasons for Maine and the Mets. Maine went 18-18 with a 4.88 ERA. Maine career Mets numbers ended being 39-32 with a 4.17 ERA before being non-tendered after the 2010 season. Maine spent an injury riddled year for Colorado in Triple-A in 2010 and began to have some success with the Yankees Triple-A affiliate last year. Maine signed a minor league deal with the Marlins in the off season and made the team out of spring training.
